Dr. Jim Helmkamp, a native of Akron, Ohio, graduated from the Univ. of Akron in 1979 and The Ohio State College of Dentistry in 1983. He spent 3 years in the U.S. Army Dental Corps, then began practicing in Auburn in 1986. He has achieved Fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry . He is a general member of the American Dental Association, The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Maine Dental Association, Androscoggin Valley Dental Society, Academy of Dentistry International, New England Dental Society. Currently he is on the Executive Council of the Maine Dental Association and is on the Maine advisory board for Donated Dental Services of the National Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped. Past president of Andy Valley Dental Society, served 7 years on Headstart Health Advisory committee, has been associated with the Schuster Center for Professional Development since 1995, the Center for Advanced Dental Studies since 1997 and the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum. He resides in Auburn with his wife Jill and daughter Annie. Lakewood Office Park
